A World Beyond Perfection fine art giclee print

Perfection is a cage, if an awe inspiring and beautiful one. These two birds long to fly outside with the other birds, who have discovered the freedom to make mistakes, play, and be one with nature. Other birds have been there, but happily returned to the quest for perfection of their own accord.

The yellow and white background beyond the window, a William Morris pattern along with the curtains, contains a mistake. It's made of two pieces instead of just one, showing that little line, that shift where you feel something is off about your pursuit of perfection, when you realize it's unachievable.

The tacit expectation that we should all pursue perfection makes most of us despair, grow resentful, and ultimately give up. There must be room to play and make mistakes on the way. If perfection is desired then the path is more important than the goal...which is impossible anyway.

This listing is for a giclee print on Somerset Velvet paper, a very soft fine art paper. Please choose either 6 inch or 12 inch square size, the 12 inch size is the same as the original. Your package will arrive from my print on demand company.
