Behind a Mask Original Drawing on pattern collage

Love gives Death its bite. The little bunny below is afraid to fall in love because it is certain he will lose his beloved sooner than later. Meanwhile the beloved comes out of hiding with a flower as an offering, dropping the mask, ready to love. This is an original colored pencil drawing on collage made from my own patterns. These patterns come from my medieval collection inspired by the backgrounds found in illuminated manuscripts. The drawing is mounted on canvas and painted with gold acrylic on the edges and sides, with some intentional spillover onto the front for some shabby sparkle.

This piece measures 9 x 12 inches and has been treated with fixative to last for generations. Comes signed on the back with title.
