The background is a collage of patterns from my medieval pattern collection which includes a stained glass pattern which gives this piece its name: Cathedrals. Having escaped a church full of people, the white rabbit finds a skull in the graveyard. A little mouse emerges from it, even more afraid than the rabbit. The rabbit wonders why human churches are so dark, while God's great outdoors is so bright, and muses that one's own skull is really the ultimate cathedral.
