A gray rabbit hops through a field of flax as farmers bring in the harvest. She wonders after being chased off why flax is spun into shrouds for humans alone. No one mourns the death of a rabbit. The collage consists of patterns from my medieval pattern collection inspired by the background designs in illuminated manuscripts.
