Apple through the window,
through which I see the sun
glow,
birds unknown fly high and
low,
some obscure and some bestow
this vision to a rapt sparrow
who sees and suddenly knows
this juicy path he must
follow.
Startled Sparrow is part of my series called BirdCore 2. Each piece in BirdCore has a little poem associated with it about the process of discovering who you really are at your core.
This is an original colored pencil drawing on decorative paper collage affixed to high profile panel with the edges painted metallic gold, measures 8x8x1 inch.
